i LOVE brisket! no bones, tender, and you can slap on the sauce. However shishkabob is good when you slide 3 different type of meats on that stick with some veggies.

Being a Texan - Brisket Rules! Slow Smoked for 18 hours, Super dry rub, sauce on the side if you really go to. Ribs and Chicken run a close second. And then let's not forget about some of the great sausage that comes out of the hill country !

That is kind of like which is your favorite kid. Yeah, you probably do have a favorite, but it is dang hard to choose sometimes. My top three are pork ribs(loin or spares), brisket and pulled pork(done Tx style, none of that vingegar/pepper sauce added).

Every time I think I like ribs better than brisket, I eat some brisket and think otherwise. Usually, not long after that, I eat some toe-curling ribs and promise that I'll never doubt them again. For that reason, I voted for brisket. :D

HOUSTON (AP) — Let’s
hope Hou-manatee is better at
parenting than she is with
directions.
The female “sea cow” who
made a splash here in
December 1995 after wandering
far from her Florida home
was spotted last month with a
calf in tow, according to the
U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
Kit Curtin, a member of the
Save the Manatees club, was
photographing manatees in
Florida when she spotted Houmanatee.
Upon further review,
biologists determined it was
indeed the once-wayward animal.
They figure the calf probably
was born last year. The sex of
the calf is unknown.
In late 1994, the docile mammal
somehow had wandered
far from its native Florida, up
the Houston Ship Channel and
into Buffalo Bayou, attracting
scores of curiosity seekers
near a sewage treatment plant.
She was rescued Dec. 7,
1995 and taken to Sea World
of Texas in San Antonio, where
she was nicknamed Sweet
Pea. She was then flown back
to her natural Florida habitat at
Homosassa Springs, Fla.

They just took the ole boy there to have a chat about his rude behavior that night. He just took off running and jumped in and tried to swim away, but he forgot he was handcuffed. At least that's the way it was explained to me by one of my HPD instructors in class.

Well never heard so much whining from the yankee section. I ate at the very first Whataburger that ever got itself invented down in Corpus in 1954 or therabouts. Love em to death up until this day. Guess the last time I ate in one was either yesterday or the day before. They always got plenty of pickled japs. Can't go wrong like that. Now they have crappy onyawn rings and most other thangs. Cant hardly beat their burgers. I like that sausage gravy and bisquits in the moaning too. I know it just an add water thing but it aint bad choosing from that genre of stuff. Always got a free newspaper in case a person happen to know how read etc. Now not sure this apply to yankees..they prob just look at the pics. :)

Eggxactly whut them sissy burgers is officially called in the restaurant bizness. Now I tend to differentiate between various types of burgers. There is steak house type burgers of which Texas Land N Cattle Co. got one of the best I ever ate. That is where the meat is real thick and dominates the action..always flame grilled. Then you got my favorite which is an old timey greasy restaurant fairly thick burger cooked on the griddle. Tuckers Catfish haven makes a good one. Then you got the small cheap good tasting hamburgers where the meat aint too thick and is cooked on a griddle along with the bun. These are on prime display at a place called Clown Burger up here..or Herd's Burger in Jacksboro. Whataburger sorta be a cross twixt 2 and 3.
