Yeah good BBQ can put some weight on ya. Been there and done that before myself. Oh well, it sure is fun and tasty getting there but not so much fun losing it. Seems like my whole life has been a continous weight loss project.

If I recall correctly, I met da man, Bill, at a cook-off. Yeap, that is where it was. It is all coming back to me, now. A cook-off. That is my story and I am sticking to it.
Serously, it was a cook-off and he let me borrow some of his rub which I returned back to him. Of course, it was on food that I cooked. Great stuff. Thanks, Bill. Ritch

I was a regular poster on a site that was named after that pretty ring around meat that the smoke leaves. GORDO invited me to a invitational he was cooking at in my neck of the woods by Lake Conroe. I made it out, met Gordo, Bad Santa, 397###, Mrs. 397####, their little dog, Texana, GatorPit, TxCarrie, and some others I cannot really remember.... It was hot, and the beer was cold. Found I was in the wrong forum, have been here ever since.

Didnt really know whut I had till I called the number. Its good stuff. Warden still raves about that Rotessed chicken where I was using that stuff.

WOW, what I find most interesting is the fact that I brought this thread back from May 2004, or about 2-1/2 years since the last post. In a matter of a few days, the thread has doubled in post content.
That tells me there's a lot more peeps on the board then 2.5 years ago.
Thanks Bill and thanks Carrie for posting the original thread!
