I'm a bigtime wing dinger...and since moving from the anals of Pittsburgh out east a little to the 'burbs, we have gone from wing dings to full chicken wings...but the prep is the same. Once they are done deep frying, toss the wings in a large tupperware or paper bag, and shake TBBQ Rub all over em, coating well. the rub will stick, and it's the best seasoning i've ever had...and I've been thru alot of wings in my time. I like hot wings too, but seasoned wings are the best IMO.

The other new use? Seasoned fries. I've been trying to watch some of what we eat, and when we make chicken salads, we like fries on them...but i make my fries a little different.

Slice up some steak fries, spray them lightly with pam and coat liberally with seasoned salt....only now, i use the BBQ Rub. Bake till crispy...Damn is it good...and low fat. just some carbs...mmmmmm

Jason:
Thanks for passing along some more ways to use Texas BBQ Rub. Wow, those wings and fries do sound tasty.

You know this rub is a perfect seasoning for almost anything. I use it on pasta. But heck I use it on almost everything I cook.

Thanks Jason in sharing this with everyone out there.

Last night I decided to make tacos with some ground beef I had...only problem I did not have the taco seasoning I usually use. I used some Texas BBQ Rub and some chili powder and the tacos were wonderful!!! My husband thought they were the best tacos I had ever made!

Tonight I made a wonderful dish with texas bbq rub...very simple to make too!

I cut up potatoe, carrots, bell pepper, and onion and then added some groud beef AND A DASH OF TEXAS BBQ RUB FOR GOOD FLAVOR...I put all of that into foil pockets and baked them! IT WAS GREAT!

Hey Will:
That is one that I have never tried so we are glad you are passing along the info. Have thought about making a pizza and cooking in the pit but have not had the time to play with that idea.

Thanks
Bill

Hey Bill I have gone crazy with this rub just to see how many things it taste good on. Last night I put some in a batch of mashed potatoes I made and also in the cream gravy it was pretty good. Well gotta go I am fixing to put a brisket 3 racks of ribs and some sausage on the smoker(cooked with txbbqr of course)

Got another recipe for the rub I tried this one last weekend take a roll of breakfast sausage (whole I like the spicy kind) and roll it in txbbqr and throw it on the smoker when it was done I threw it in the frig and ate on it for a couple of days with some biscuites. To heat it up I just threw it in a pan and browned it man this is gooood!!!!

Ever since we talked and you told me about that I have been thinking about it. This is a great idea for breakfast around the pit at a cook-off folks. Could even put on a flour tortilla and have a nice rolled up sausage breakfast.

Will give this one a try. Thanks for sharing it with us.
