What kind of fish (salt water) would be good when using BBQ rub?

I've only cooked whiting. I put a REALLY small amount of rub on the fish, since it was grilled, you don't want too much rub. I also put some lemon oil on top. It was excellent.

What are some other fish (salt water) besides Whiting that the rub would be good on?

I have had a friend put it on salmon, shrimp and crawfish!!! You just can't put too much on fish! And don't forget to put a dash of lemon juice!

"anything" is correct...we got an email from a customer who has used it on Elk and said it was great!!! I use it on everything!

I made my own rub for fish (sorry Blake!) using Emeril's spices, garlic and black pepper. Then I used Mayo mixed in the rub to coat Salmon fillets and grilled for 5 minutes a side :!: good eating!!!!

Deep South:
What you have there sounds really good. May give that one a try. For others out there you can mix a little Texas BBQ Rub in Mayo and make a great dipping sauce. Also, mix a little in to tartar sauce for a wonderful fish dip.
Deep South this is making me want to cook some fish. Been a few months since I smoked some salmon and your sauce would be good on Salmon before it is smoked. Wow. Got to try this one.
