Favorite 4th Recipe

Pizza and Skones... LOL No ya'll, really LOL!!!

Ribs, sausage, grilled corn on the cob, slaw, tater salad, homemade bread, and homemade apple pie. Drinks for the day... Ice Tea, Homemade Sangria punch, beer, beer, and beer.

Events.... horseshoes, dominos, and paint ball targets of Osama bin Laden, and maybe my exgirlfriend.

Here is my recipe for my favorite 4th:

1) 3 - 30 packs of beer
2) 1 boat
3) 1 wakeboard and 1 tube and use for about 2 hours at start of day
4) Add about 5 friends
5) Crappy deli cuts of meat
6) Tie down at the sandbar.
7) Drink beer
8) Run out of beer around 1 p.m. curse but then realize you do this every year and you were smart this year and packed a bottle of vodka in the cooler
9) Realize bottle of vodka but no mixer.
10) Curse, flirt with cute mommy in boat next to you in order to get mixer.
11) Offer her drink
12) Sit in water with mommy getting more drunk
13) Driver hates you with a passion
14) Help driver guide boat into trailer.
15) Forget you should be spotting because you lost drink.
16) Destroy all photos and nurse hangover

Typically been apple fritters with powdered sugar, deviled eggs, baked beans, strawberry pie.

This year it'll be brisket, ribs, chicken and sausage with potato salad, cole slaw and strawberry pie.

I myself will probably be on the San Jacinto taking my friends to each marina so they can drink more beer and pee. Then we will go under the Fred Hartman bridge to the Tiki Bay Bar & Grill, fill the boat and then head off to Kemah.

Well we usually end up having our annual 4th of July party on the weekend to make it easier for out of towners to attend. This year it'll be on the 8th of July and it had better be really really good because of 3 reasons.
1) I gave up going to a wedding in Homer Alaska to have the "honor" of cooking for this event this year AGAIN.
2) I have Texas and California people coming to town.
and most importantly!
3) I quit smoking and have a short temper and could easily fly off the handle and say "someone else needs to do all the cooking" then I'll take my beer cooler and go fishing. LOL

Oh yeah! I'll mostly be just finishing pre cooked ribs over charcoal. Plus whatever anyone else throws at me to cook.

See the hardest part for me is holding my pee in all day. I wish someone would bring a port a potty or I could find the person's boat that everyone is going pee in.
