Hi All
As I said before I am new to this board and the BBQ Smoking game but I have heard alot on several Q boards about this TX BBQ Rub so I bought 4 pounds.
My new Smoker will not be ready for another 4 weeks ( I ordered a Klose Grill Chef) but I really wanted to try this Rub. I got this wild hair that I would try to smoke a couple racks of beef ribs on my 22inch round Weber Kettle. I prepared the ribs with the 1,2,3 method but I learned all to quickly (about 5 min) that I was not going to be able to keep the heat low enough to have a 4-5 hour cook at 200-225 degrees even with indirect heat. Maybe the near 100 degree outside temperture had something to do with it. Anyway I said screw it and decided to just throw them in the oven at 200 for about 4 1/2 hours thinking they would be ok just not great. Well I was pleasantly surprised as the ribs turned out awesome. This Rub is wonderful and the ribs were tender and to quote the Colonel "Finger Licking Good". Kudo's to you Guys & Gals at Texas BBQ Rub for making such a forgiving product. Imagine how great it will be when I learn what the hell I am doing!!
Have a wonderful day L Patterson ( tapeop )
