Tailgating sound like a lot of fun. I myself have never participated in a tailgating party, but will try to catch one soon.

What I would like to hear are some of ya'lls tailgating stories. From the food you like to serve to the number of people that drop by or any story you would like to tell.

The best way to get more people involved is to talk it up. Nows your chance.

I got to attend a few tailgating parties this last weekend at the Rice - Universtiy of Houston game and they are a blast. Uusally pretty darn good food and great company and the atmosphere is what is so exciting. People with a common interest gathered around drinking a few brews and eating and talking about the game.

I went to a couple of friends parties, one did some BBQ and the other more like sandwiches and fried chicken kind of deal. The BBQ was OK. He is still learning some things so it is getting better, but you know every one had fun and that is what it is all about. In total at the game there must have been around 50 tailgate parties going on. Some large some small. There were probably close to 3000 people out there walking around and attending the parties, so it was fun. New season starting so they all got into it. You have the hamburger cooks, the hot dog cooks, the fried chicken guys, the BBQ guys, and some sandwich guys. RV's to trucks and trunks of cars. Big rigs, small grills, and nothing but some meat and cheese to snack on.

My group is planning a tailgating party or actually several over the season so if any of you want to come out and have some fun we will be at the UofH home games.

Bill:

Keep us posted on your tailgate parties. They sound like a lot of fun.

If I can make it I will try to come out to one and check it out.

How about the rest of you. Anything you want to share with us. Funny story, bad weather story, bad food story, or any kind of tall tale.
We want to hear it.

I would have to agree with you on this one...the Aggies know how to tailgate! When I was living in College Station and going to school between 1997-2000 I attended many football games and tailgate party's!
