NEED HELP

What is the best way to clean a vertical smoke chamber of the drippings that inevetably miss the water/drip pan. I cleaned out all the ash and was going to just spray it down with the hgose to get out the drippings at the bottom. i dont want to use any kind of soap or anything because it will blow the natural seasoning of the pit. The drippings collect and can stiink also it couldnt be healthy so thats my plan . please let me know if this is corerect or not. Oh and thanks bill i got my rub and gloves. great bargain for some great gloves. cant wait to try the rub,very soon! 8)

I just wait til the drippin's harden an then take a putty nife an scrape it out then rinse with the pressure washer (car wash)...Buckeye
