Brisket Blend ingredient question

I'm a newbie here and have been reading about this wonderful thing called Rub # 2 a.k.a. the Brisket Blend. My question is this: how dominant is the chile powder flavor or taste in this rub?

I've got an affliction to rubs that are heavy in chile powder, but I'm still looking for that majic powder to make my brisket all that is good in barbecue?

Hey welcome to the forum. Great bunch of guys and gals here and maybe you will learn something new and have a blast.

As for the chili powder taste in the new brisket blend it is very very slight. Very little chili powder in the ingredients of the blend. The blend was developed to enhance the flavor of meats and not to overwhelm them.

Bill, I will absolutely be ordering some of that #2 Blend shortly. If it's anything close to what I'm imagining, I'll have no trouble reaching brisket bliss!

I have a confession..........I once traveled to Houston to visit Klose and experience the Fiery-Foods expo, and stopped at Bodacious right outside of Beaumont to have a brisket sandwich........I liked it alot. I'm trying to achieve that flavor with my own, and I can only assume your blend "smokes" Bodacious in all aspects of a texas taste of brisket. We shall soon see!
