Food channel

[BBQ Rookie]

Hey I was watching the food channel the other day and they had a BBQ cook off, I think it was pork only and it was down there somewhere in Georgia, but I was just wondering if any of you fellas been to any of these cook off places that they had on tv? I've never been to any of these compations for BBQ are they fun? BBQ Rookie :?:

Hey BBQ Rookie:
The Food Channel was out at the Houston Rodeo Cookoff like 3 years ago now and came by our booth and did some filming. We talked slow smoked meats. They still replay the show and Ritch from Gator Pits just saw it replayed again about a week ago as he called to tell me he saw me on the Food Network.

BBQ Rookie. I have only been to 1 cook-off so far since I have been in this forum & been purchasing Bill's products. This much I CAN tell you. The 1 in Houston is SOOO MUCH FUUUNNN!! :D :D I can't wait to get back down there next year. We come from all walks of life for 1 thing mainly.That's BBQ,There's some drinkin' & some lying happening too. Also there's plenty of wimmen & music as well. Is it fun? :? D*** right it is :!: :!: :) I have found my true element after all of these years.Nobody cares what you do for a living, how much $$ you got or what you drive or anything like that. We"re just there to do a competition & have a good time doing what we like to do best, & that's BBQ!! :D :D :D
