Gotta share my opinion on Texana Habenero (is that spelled right?) jelly. Cooked some baby backs this past Sunday. Rubbed a bit of the jelly on top after I placed Bills Rub. Cooked for 6 hours. Great taste. Brought a bunch to the guys at work and they ate it like it was the best damn ribs they had ever eaten. The whole bucket was gone in about 5 minutes and they were licking lips and wiping their faces wanting more. Great job Tex. And Bill.

I know what ya mean Ritch. I have used his jellies with rib and chicken they have all come out great. I added some of his jellies to store bought sauces and it added just the right amount of heat and sweat. I am looking forward to checking out your pitts and Texanas Jellies at Q-fest this fall.

Texanna,
Are you selling this stuff or just handing it out to your buddies to test it? I have read enough about it and want to purchase some if available. please let me know.

Thanks for asking.

The answer is still Yes and No. Yes I am going to sell it, but not yet.

I am in the process of building a web site so that I can sell it. I hope to have it ready within the next 2 to 3 weeks.

I have been sending samples to various people on the forum in different parts of the country to get feedback on the product. I have not sent any samples in the past two weeks.

What I might do if Bill does not care is put an announcement up that the product is for sale to the forum members prior to the website being ready. I can ship to you and you can send me the money. I will keep you and everyone posted. At this time I am sorta in a holding pattern.

I would like to thank everyone for their patience. I feel like I have a winner here with my product and I hope to be ready to go very soon.

Anyone interested in ordering please email me at csharry@netropolis.net and I will notify you as soon as I am ready to go.

Texana - would you want to experiment with some muscadine variety of peppered jellies? Let me know, I can get more than you need.

Very seasonal. You can extract the juice/pectin, store, and use later in the year. Have you ever made muscadine jelly? It's labor intensive, but good.

Texana, My mother makes jelly out of almost all fruit. She made some last year out of Cactus blooms, (here they are called Tunias) excellent jelly, also plum, wild grape, and pear preserves. Do we want to do some swappin'????

True, cactus jelly is great as well. I can also help get you some of those if you need them. Again, labor intensive...but very good.
