Well the NC BBQ has ben awesome. Thanks for the tip Tar River went to Allen and Son yesterday. If you wouldn't have recomended it I'd never have found it. Driving on some of these NC backroads can be kind of scary :lol: Best on the trip so far.

Ate at a place in Nags Head called Sooey's it was suprisingly very good. It's sign said Seafood and BBQ. I actually pulled in for some cheap, fast seafood. When I saw that their "seafood" consited of fish n chips and a crab cake sandwich I decided to get the Q instead. To that point in my trip it was the best NC Q I had had. Huge sandwich of very good pulled pork . If you stop make sure you try the ribs too.

Well off to Lexington today. Dang I love being in a state that can appreciate real BBQ.

Great! If you get near Goldsboro on HW 70 toward Kinston right pass the air base, there is a Wilburs BBQ( ate there at 11am today) and right across the street is McCalls BBQ.

Next spring when my enlistment is done in the Marine Corps, Im taking eastern carolina BBQ to the north with the "yankees"

starting something new there....we shall see how it goes.
