min of a class3. That is a 2 inch receiver. You can get them just about anywhere, Wally World, Tractor Supply, online, etc Most bolt right on and are easy to install. Wiring is simple as recent trucks have a wiring harness already in back and its just a matter of hooking up a plug. In the owners handbook should be a section with the color code.
Would think a trailer would be coveredbyauto insurance but check.

I think some U-Haul dealers will install a reciever hitch for you (and for a small fee .. of course)

Hitch smitch. Chains are cheaper. Just cinch that puppy up right tight to the bumper. You're good to go.

Btw, insurance may be a problem with that method, not to mention turns.

I ain't so sure about the insurance but if you hook it up tight enough to the bumper it should just kinda skid around the curves.

Fred, I have a class 4 on my pick-up, it was installed by U-haul for $137.00 with lifetime warranty for $25 extra. Whatever is hooked to your truck is covered by your auto insurance, but when the trailer is un-hooked it has no coverage by your auto ins. That the wat Texas Ins. Law reads.  :D

Check your auto insurance. Should cover ya. Policy should have specified $ to cover certain accessories, towing, etc. But, you do need to check. Assuming it is a full-coverage policy. Also, had a customer have his homeowner's insurance cover his pit. Got stolen and State Farm paid him $4000 for his loss. There are ways to cover it. Ritch

check your trucks owners manual for towing capacity before you buy a hitch. Putting a class 4 hitch on a mini pickup doesn't automatically mean you can safely pull or stop a 5000lb rig.

Fred, You need the hitch to match the weight of thr trailer your going to pull. If you are driving a full-size Ford F-150 and pulling an Entertainer a Class 3 or 4 would be perfect. :D :D

Agree with Redneck. Must be at least a three.
