Since my chicken cookin daze r over :cry: :oops: :cry: :oops: ...wuz wonderin if doin turkey legs cood subsatute fer chicken?..definatlee cheeper than chicken rite now....But haz anyone ever served turkey legs az a subsatute? Promise I won't "fowl" up this go round.

I like them. Never have done them on a smoker or grill though. Normally crock pot them.

Doing some turkey breasts & legs this weekend....Brine 'em, smoke 'em, eat 'em!!

I agree with Dirty Ron. you may want to check with the probation officer to see if turkey is covered under the plea bargained release.

As I mentioned here before I sometimes get saddled with cooking links for the concession stand at home football games.
This is the Band Boosters concession stand.
The Football Boosters stand (on the other side of the field) sells smoked turkey legs.
They sell the heck out of them (or did till we started cookin sausage LOL)
They cook em in a large pit like we do. No sauce on them (that I could tell)
I'd say salt em down with a good seasoning and throw em on.
You should be able to tell when they are done with a thermometer or by experience.
