Are they wild or farm raised?

They are wild.

Wild will be very lean and don't make very good meat for smoking.
A high temp grilling would be a good choice. I have some information at
home and will try post later.

You could probally bacon wrap them and come out ok on the grill? Like JM said very lean no low and slow stuff.

Duck low and slow is fantastic with applewood & cherry!
Don't know about duck breast by themselves, but whole duck, let's put it
this way,why did the chicken cross the road------who cares why,who cares if the chicken comes back, duck kicks chickens ***.
My favourite is with that Dizzy Duck rub,no,no Dizzy Pig rub,see duck
on the brain, gotta get me a duck,no not cluck, duck,i said!
Duck to a BBQ'r is like quack to a ...,see got to get me a duck!

Oh i'ma editing here, the rub i use for duck is the Raging Duck,i mean
Raging River rub, made by The Dizzy Pig Rub BBQ Company.
