Just spent $100 on the Pendery's Site!!

Dang I gotta stay off that site ! For anybody that likes Chipotles, the "Golden Meco" ones are the best out there. They are HUGE!!!! Also bought 5 lbs of chile powders!

I make a white bean salad with

1 lb great northern beans (cooked until soft)
A handful of scallions cut into coins
about 4 reconstituted julienned chipotles

Dressed with:
1/2 cup white wine vinegar
1/2 cup good olive oil
2 tbs coarse brown mustard
1 tsp oregano
salt pepper

Let it sit several hours. Great served with Albacore tuna!!!!!

Va, nice stuff but I hate to burst your bubble (I really do,) prices aren't even close to Pendery's. The Whole Chipotle prices are double and the chile powders are 40% higher! I will look at the other stuff later but for chiles both whole and ground, you cannot beat Pendery's !! Woody

ps. now Redneck is gonna claim he put me onto Pendery's but the truth is, I already knew about em! What he did was put me onto his secret powder which is.................edited :wink:

Started buying from Pendery's in late '91, when I tried my hand at chili cooking. been buying from them since then, most of the time prices are better, but almost always fresher. Makes it nice since I live just south of the Ft. Worth store. Great varity(sp) of spices to choose from.
