I was waiting for my pizza to get out of the oven at a pizza joint last night and was watchin them slice the pizza. They had one of those rockin slicers that was as long as the pizza. Then all they did was rock side to sid to slice the pizza. That got me to thinkin...could the same tool be applied to cutting ribs after smoking? If you were the type of person to slice individual ribs for your guests, then it looks like it would work. Anyone thought of this?

Not real sure how it would work, but I can tell you this .. it sucks on pizza.
Well most of the time it is the lazy bastid using it ... he/she fails to rock all the way to the outside or use enough pressure to go all the way thru. It is one of the little things in life that just pisses me off. Drive all the way home, turn on the game or movie, go to pull a slice and you gotta tear it to get it apart or go recut it yourself ...
Oh well now I feel better ....

Leave it to Woody to miss the point ... it is not about work ... it is about supplying a product that has been prepared properly. If they cant cut it all the way through why even make an effort ... just leave it alone ... think of all the time they would save ... Lets apply that to any product you purchase. If your new tv only shows 1/2 a picture why should you care .. you can see 1/2 of it ... or what about that new surround sound .. all but one speaker works .. why bother you can hear out of the other ones ...
It goes back to the lazy no good corporate demi gods .... not many take pride in their work or jobs .. .most think 1/2 *** is good enough and we the public are letting them get away with it ....
Whats next ....

I suppose it could work, but I've never had a problem using a sharp knife and following the bone. I would be a little afraid of crushing the rib meat and pulling it off the bone.

I think it would be harder to guide than a regular knife. My Cutco has zero problems zipping through the meat, right into my hand.

Tex, if they didn't at least serrate it for ya, it would be much harder to pull off! Plus, your pieces would come out all different sizes! Now, I believe that you are incorporated, as am I , so we are both big corporate muckity mucks too. I fully intend to not cut my ribs all the way through just to piss people off! You should overtighten your jelly jar lids in the same spirit, lest you be put out of the demigoggery!!!

I have one Corndog but I think a sharp knife works better. That would tend to crush and pull the meat off the bone. Now to cut pulled pork into smaller parts, it works great, but a small cleaver works as well too. I say let the pizza joints have them to piss off Texana.
