Does anyone have one of these? And if so can you set the temps for meat to your desired temp or just the set temps on the thermo? And any other impressions you have. Thanks

The Weber remote is the same thermo that was sold by Radio Shack for a while.
I have one and it's ok for what it is. I don't care for the pre-set temps they use. What they determine is "Rare" or "Medium" is way too high IMO.
Now if you're just using it to read temps it will work fine... just keep in mind that the upper range is limited... 199, I think.
I still like my ET-73. Reads the temps in the cooker and in the meat. Some have had trouble with it reading from distances and though walls, but I've had mine over a year now, and no problems whatsoever. It lets me sleep nights when I'm doing a long cook. I can set the cooker alarms for High alert and Low alert, to whatever temps I want.
JMHO...
