Doin 40#'s of leg 1/4's in my uprite with a direckt heet......got 6 slabs of spares on tha 11th rack....an tha chicken on tha 8th & 9th rack.....temp iz holdin' bout 300°.......all that greese drippin on tha logs iz sho stankin up tha nayberhood :P :P .....I think I'll uz this method from now on insted of grillin tha chicken tha tradishunal way in my main chamber. Tha chicken iz takin on a nice golden brownish color. :)

Oh yeah.......it's been rain like crazy fer bout 2 ours :cry: :x :evil: .....but I got one of them silver space suit lookin water heeter jackets on top of tha uprite...... So tha rain ain't affecktin tha temps none. 8)

Done it like thataway myself a few times...course I got certain standards and refuse to cook leg quarters lessen it for the dawgs or yankee kin from PA. Splits is about as far as I go down the dis-membered chicken road. How far is you above the fire? You had any trouble with grease flare ups? Raging fires? Explosions etc?

Bout 20'-22" from logs ta grate........fire wuz ragin bout a foot from tha birds 8) 8) .....no xploshuns.... 8) ....kept tha door opened bout a foot.

Well I have the tinfoil hat. Learnt how to do that from Art Bell on the midnight radio. It keeps space aliens from interfering with your brain waves.
