Doin' a bird cook for 70 -90 folks at church this w/e.

Going to smoke roast fryer halves, marinated in Goya Mojo then a basic Q poultry rub. Then finish to crisp up
over direct heat. I only have a couple of halved 55's to work with. Used bricks to create a firebox last time to go indirect
and it worked just fine. JUst can't remember how much bird we used. I know we sold off all of the leftovers and made enough to pay for the whole shebang! Just don't too much left over.

How much? Don't know the ratio of kids to biguns. Sorry.

Figure I can get 10 pcs. outta each chix. (break into 1/4's and cut the breasts in half)

Any thoughts??

Thanks,

Rob

Now I refuse to cook dead chickens for public consumptions. Heard too many horror stories of old widder ladies finding a red streak and start screaming about raw chicken..then nobody will eat it. Sounds about right to me seeing how having leftovers aint a bad thing in this case. Kids much rather have hot dawgs. I throw in a few packs and conserve the bird for the old widder ladies.

Did you see the new union contracts? Stacey should have been dropping them off. We get a flat 10 jars per week and then based upon the total of jelly comments made everyone gets a 10% cut. So if 100 jelly comments were made you will get 20 jars that week.

Well 10% of 100 comments would be 10 jars, but smoke jumper your forgetting the flat count of 10 jars per week already promised in the contract,so that's 20 jars per week,if 100 comments are made!

Hey!Contract !!!Union!!!!! Nobody told me   I'll be ok as long as the Jelly master agrees to send my next, future order.
