We started last night with a brisket, and continued early this morning with 9 racks of babybacks and 3 racks of spares. We've been posting updates throughout the night and day on my website.

Michael:
I noticed several displays of the Texas A&M banner in your photos. You gonna make it to the opening game to face my Clemson Tigers in Death Valley? I sure hope we put up more of a fight than we did last year on your turf.

Wow! What a blast we had. Good food and great friends, celebrating the fact that we can, well, celebrate freely makes the Fourth one of my favorite holidays! It was hot...near 100 in the shade, but lots of fresh fruit and some cold beverages helped us beat the heat.
This is the fourth year that we've done this party at my buddy, Casey's, house, and the first that we've used my new pit, Hoss. The ribs were excellent. The brisket was probably a little overcooked and somewhat dry on the edges, but still edible. We had some awesome, fresh fruit, including strawberries, watermelon, cantaloupe and grapes brought in from Hempstead, and beans, tater salad, and various desserts that topped it all off. The fireworks display after dark rounded out a great evening.
We had three digital SLR's capturing the festivities, and they pulled off some excellent photos. We'll be able to look back as the years pass and remember the good times. And certainly, THESE ARE THE GOOD TIMES!!!!

If you're talking about this one...

That's my youngest of three daughters, Hannah. She has been dubbed "Lilo" by my friends!

Yup, many of us "is" Aggies! (Fightin' Texas Aggie Class of '92, myself) However, we did have t-sip representation, as well. In fact, the classic shot of my Longhorn buddy sipping coffee from the Aggie mug is one of my favorites. I won't make it to Death Valley this season, but it should be a great, close game!

Right back at ya, my burnt orange friend! I hope everybody has an awesome weekend with family and friends, and takes time to give thanks for our freedom!

Born and raised a Clemson Tiger (Class of '87).
I didn't make it to the Aggie game last year either, but the Clemson fans who traveled posted some notes on our message board about how awesome the facilities were and how "classy" the fans were. That's saying a lot after getting your butt kicked. :(
Good luck;
