Bill''s Brisket Blend was again a big hit over the weekend. Smoked 5 briskets using only the TexasRub Brisket Blend and they were great as usual. Thanks to Bill and the family for engineering another great formula!

I am with you on that. Used it on ribs, brisket, pork butt, chicken and folks were taking what was left home to eat. Thanks Bill for getting it to me so quick and another big THANKS from all those folks that ate the Q with your seasonings.

What is the difference in the brisket blend and the regular stuff? From what Rich said, you can use it on anything, just like you used the regular rub befor the brisket blend came out.

Tar...we actually recommend you still use our Original Rub on ribs. That is one thing my dad tried Brisket Blend on and was not happy with the results. He developed Brisket Blend for the bigger pieces of meat like brisket. Brisket Blend consists of larger pieces of spice that sit well on large meats. Hope this answers your question.

Z, you mind reader, that is exactly what I plan to do. 8) I cooked some baby backs Sunday and saved a rack for a party on Monday and they were gone in a flash, didn't get a nibble. Must have been the slight taste of Tejas Pepper Jelly as one guy said the don't get any better than this. :)

I spoke to Bill on the phone yesterday about the Brisket Blend and he told me that not only does it have the larger spices that txbbqcarrie mentioned, but it also has less sugar than the original blend which I think makes it better suited for the briskets.

Bukmstr, you can arrange for pick-up in Stafford (Bill's office) if you would like to do that. Just let me know.

I clicked on the Order Today tab on the home page and did not see the Brisket Blend listed. Can someone supply a link to the order page for the Brisket Blend; I want to try some on a brisket and a couple of butts.

I think you can specify in the remarks or comment section that you want the brisket blend.

Tar is right. Just specify Brisket in the comment section of your order. We are eventually going to have it on our order page.

Right now we have Original and Brisket as far as rubs go. Then we have a Grilling Magic and a Steak Seasoning that are both in shaker bottles.

Here ya go...

A HEARTY BLEND OF SPICES WITH NO SUGAR OR SWEET TASTE. IT IS PERFECT FOR STEAK, BURGERS AND SALADS. IT IS A BIT SPICY BUT NOT TOO SPICY. IT IS BASICALLY SIMILAR TO GRILLING MAGIC WITHOUT THE SWEET.
