Ft. Ord has a great golf course as well as all those at Pebble Beach. Forget the Q, and make sure you have dinner one night at Clint Eastwoods Mission Ranch Restaurant (http://www.missionranchcarmel.com/restaurant.htm). One of my all time favorites. I got to meet him after dinner last trip. Go early for happy hour piano bar. Dine outside or at least get a window seat to watch the sun set. Very nice.

Huh, The last time that I was @ Ft.Ord, I was still wearing diapers. I just happened to be born there. I can't tell you anything about that area. From what I was told, It was better than it was here.

Hey Smoke Daddy,
I use to live in Monterey County, and went to college on the old Fort Ord...you want to take Higway 1 North to Castroville, there is really only one exit and its the main street, the BBQ joint there is Texas Style BBQ, its the best in the area....at least thats my o-pin-yoin!! Good luck! 8)

My left wing liberal big brudder who lives in sunny CA say Clint Eastwood's place called the "Hawg Breath" is one of his favorite eating places. Not sure whut town that be in..but it the same state I think. This is the same big brudder who got bit by Roy Roger's Dawg while taking a tour of Roy's museum one time. Now if that aint a claim to fame I dont know whut is. It be a big honor to get bit by Roy's pooch in my book. Now this was not Bullet..it was one of the newer dawgs Roy owned afore going to the Happy Trail in the sky place. Roy and the mutt was in there just hanging out.

Been to Hog's Breath. Even saw Clint. Baby Back ribs were very good. Typical though. Have a brisket sandwich on some strange roll which was pretty decent too.

Hey Fellas!

Just made it in! Didn't see Clint, but met bus loads of really nice British tourists! Didn't have access to the Forum or I sure would have tried Clint's place and the joint in Castroville.

But I suspect I'll be back in the next 6 months. Had a boat load of great seafood and really got into checkin' out the pelicans and the seals.

Bought a great T-shirt:
" vegatarian: slang for the village idiot that can't hunt or fish" hahaha
