Austin:
Remember to do the best you can and have fun. Other than that knock em dead with your entries. Memphis has different rules than we have here in Texas so just cook what and how you do the best and remember in Memphis the turn in box has to be pretty.
Have some fun.

Now I always heard it take mucho dinero to do the Memphis in May thing. As in a corporate sponsor type situation. They also have the on-site judging to make sure black folks dont win. Is there any truth to this stuff? Enquiring minds need to know. If you dont mind me axing of course.

I looked into cooking at those events as they are held closer to my location. Wheel, you got two out of three correct I can tell you for sure.

Hey now that must be why me and you is gods. We know whuts whut:) Ok tell me truly..which one of the three factoids did I miss? Us gods need to improve on our track record ya know..or else we liable to slip back into being mere mortals. I would hate that. It hard to keep the old gray mare down on the farm once she has seen Paris. Or something similar.

That is just stupid. I truly hope you were kidding.

Yes sir my godkin  That event is costly and way to fancy pants, for me anyway. You have to entertain judges at your set-up, cause they do come to you  I know nothing about the black folk theory, but it could tend to thin out the competion.

Yeppers...that onsite judging is known as the "single blind" method. Which means..they get to keep one eye open. I have heard of the same system being employed a few times over the years when some lady axes you to keep your eyes closed while they change clothes and such things..wink wink:)

You is way too shy and reticent. Holding stuff in ain't good for you, son. You need to just - well -- spit it out!

Yeah, I've noticed that's a problem with Mr. Wheeler. If only one could know where he stood. :D
