Chicken anyone ....

Ok ... I think I got it all figured out ....

When cooking chicken .... it is very important ....

when moving the chicken from the refrigerator to the ice chest to leave it, wrapped up. This helps in many ways ... the most important way.... cleanup ... if everything is left in the original wrapper it is much easier to clean up when you forget to cook it ....

I learned this yet again recently when I did a cook for a few friends ...

A couple of days after the feast I got a call and someone asked me how come I never served the chicken ... duh ....

Cause it was still in the ice chest ... I forgot again !!!!!!!!

And yall wonder why I dont cook them pesky poultry things .....

Geesh ... its like I am snake bit on chicken ....

Don't feel bad Texana... been there .. done that....

My cousins and I stayed up one night all night to fix brisket, butts and chicken for a family gathering of over 120 people... we got the butts and briskets on and most of the chicken... but as we were cooking the chicken.. I thought.. this doesnt seem like all I packed.... the remaining 4 packages were in the second cooler cause they didnt fit in the first one...they didn't get marinated and my cousins said.. dont worry, we have enough food... the chicken was the first to run out.

Although we had plenty of other food.
