Hey everybody hope ya'll are having a good weekend so far, I've got a question about some wood I have in the backyard. I've been out cutting up some pecan that Katrina left for me and getting things ready for the new Gatorpit to arrive. Got a Crabapple tree that took some serious damage as well and was wondering if it would be good to use in the smoker :? . I'm thinking it would leave a very bitter taste much like the fruit itself. Whats your thoughts :?:

Aint never had no crab apple that I can recall..but sure dont know why it wouldnt work just fine. It a fruitbearing tree which there aint many of which do not work just fine. Seems like I have heard of other more well wordly folks who has used it with pride. I think it be just fine. Now if I am wrong on this..I bees glad to take it back:)

I've never used crabapple or been around anyone who has, but it sounds like it got some good references. Let us know how it goes!

I've used it before on some chicken and it turned out just fine.
I'll use just about any type of wood except the softer ones. About the only thing I've never used that I've heard about recently is juniper...now who would want to use that stuff anyhow

All you have to do is go to your profile (found at the top of any page you're viewing) and scroll down to avatar area and the galleries have some you can use.
If you're trying to use an outside source, I can't help much because I still haven't even figgered out how to make that work. Which really sux because I have been working on uploading a really good picture of a pit that my buddy in LaGrange Texas has.
