Threw a brisket on this morning about 0500 hrs its sittin at about 157 at the moment. I injected with a chipolte lime marinade and slathered in the same then rub it down. Using charcoal and mesquite mix. We'll also be having left over Bills Taters and not sure what else yet.

Gotta say your brisket looks delicious. Nice job. And kids making goofy faces for the camera...that's what it's all about...

I have to say that's some tasty looking brisket.
Nice smoke ring too. Can you taste the injected flavor at all?
You got me thinking about the injecting method now. I'm thinking about doing one for this weekends football games and that may be good for something a lil' different.

vinman,
Yes you could definitely taste the injections I think it also helped that I slathered the brisket with the remaining injection and then put the rub on top of that. That was by far the biggest smoke ring I have ever had too.

Sorry I couldn't say more earlier, circleburner12, but was busy at work. Bill's potatoes are incredible. I threw in some leftover brisket and man was it good. It's a meal in itself. I like to slap some on a tortilla for breakfast. Dang, I'm making myself hungry :? . The recipe makes a large batch, but by the time you have some leftovers and share with the neighbors (you'll want to share this it's so good), you won't think it's too much after all.

Good looking piece of meat. Wonder what it looked like sliced up? I'm going to try something like this. Always wanted to make a savory brisket ... with a lot of garlic.

Leftover brisket? is there really such a thing?
Maybe I'm feeding the wrong people all the time 'cause I never have any left
Seriously though, those taters are really good even if there isn't any meat in 'em. I could see where any type of meat would be an added bonus though.

Technically, not leftovers. They are "plan-aheads"!

That's right rtsco they were plan aheads we didn't have to many people over definitely not enough to eat all of it. Which was fine be me as i have been taking it work for lunch and for others to sample. Now i have two ppl who want me to cook briskets for them.

Yea, them taters are "da bomb". Gritman did those for New Years Eve and threw in smoked pork butt. Man, those were awsome!!!! We are defiantly gonna put them on the catering menu.
