98 = Look at it this way - when real it's hot - it takes less fuel to maintain the temps /

Good job;
Z-man - Your getting to be quite the; 'all-around' cook - you have had it going on & are off to a great year of memories /

beautifully done and nicely cut ribs. Drooling ain't polite in some company...but I think we make exceptions here.

Zee,

The ribs looked great.

It was about 83 here yesterday and I thought I was hot. I was sweating just like I did growing up in New Orleans. It does get real hot in the late spring and summer here in North Carolina.

Gotta cook to eat :wink: If I don't Tee will :shock:
I'm also looking for dat best rib in da country 8) and according to CoCo we just about there :D Second to none kinda rib ya know. Not commercial style nor mass produced, they are like a flowering plant, need to handle with care, talk to it, and rub gently, get to know your meat. One that is suitable for framing while being tastey enough to give your tounge the best expereince it has ever had.
Cooking ribs ain't something one just does, it's an event :) Anyone can throw a rack on the pit, but very few can make it land in da rite spot :lol:

Did I ever tell ya how much I like Ribs :?: :lol:

I think the mercury hit a balmy 60* here today.
I think I'll be all ready for Texas next week now 8)
Last year, people were like "too bad you're here when it's cool" I said...they just broke the snowfall record in Ohio and I'm wearing shorts. How can that be bad.

Hot then Hail. What the Hell?

In keeping with Zilla's original thread, Austin had it's first of many rounds of 'psycho weather' last night. Yesterday was great topping out about 97*F or so. Then the thunderstorms fired up about 200 miles West of Austin about 6pm and built themselves into formadible thunderheads. About 9pm last night, here comes the heavy wind, inch + of rain and the hail. Covered most of our yard in jellybean size stuff with no damage to the vehicles or hopefully roof. Over in 45 minutes. Brent (RSTCSO) up to the North of me got hammered best I can tell from radar as well.

Hey Brent - Did you survive OK?

This is pretty normal for Central Texas this time of year till about June or so. Yuck.
