BILL’S SURPRISE POTATOES

Has anyone "cut" this recipe down to a family-gathering size. Any problems with the taste if it's done just by dividing all the ingredients by an appropriate number, say 4, to come up with a serving for 18 people?

I made the recipe exactly the other week for a theatre closing night party and it comfortably feed about 50 people with nothing left over. I think Bill estimates the proportions to feed 50-75 peeps. 75??? Not in my gang...

Made them for the first time a few weeks ago and, WHOA, are they good or what? Just awesome!

I got a review from a guy down by the theatre who is toothless and a little down-on-his-luck. So I gave him some leftovers from the other day. With his gums flappin', he said to me, 'Those potatoes were fan f'in tastic!!' (but he used the Official F word)
