black walnut

hey guy's, a friend gave me some black walnut wood, anybody ever use it to cook with ? what wood do you mix it with.

I've tried it and it's real strong, to strong for my liking, made skin dark also. It made for a real "dry" smoke. Not found any meat I like it on. Did not try to mix it with any other kind of wood though. Maybe a combo that works, I'm sure some else will chime in about it for you also.

I tried it--but never found it to give anything a good flavor. at least not to my liking. :wink:
