I know I am not crazy. I could have sworn that I saw a recipe here for ABTs. I can not find it. The recipe called for rum. Do any of you guys have an idea of what I am talking about?

You talking about ABT's made with Rum? Or are you talking about cooking ABT's while drinking Rum?.... :lol: :lol:

Go under recipes catagory and look back at posts for the recipe for them ABT's........there are several versions of them posted. They're all good....

397sumthin....at the top of the heading is a bracket that says Search, click it window will open up for a search....in the open space on right hand side of page type the word ABT's scroll down and hit the "search" button....will bring up 96 threads on ABT's... :wink:

Do a search on "Atomic Buffalo Turds", comes up with bunches of posts... but I don't see a "Recipe".

It is really basic.... scoop out and clean freash jalapenos. Stuff with what ever you like, generally something with cream cheese (I like little smokies). Wrap around with thin sliced bacon... secured with toothpick. I then role in rub season. Put in foil pan, the on smoker. Done when bacon in the cooked/crispy state.

Tones of variations... all come out good!

I did not find the rum one. Sorry. Thats the one I want to cook too. I was going to try to do it at the Pauls Ice House cookoff tomorrow.

I would just say it is a good idea to wear latex gloves while working with them jalapeno peppers. That way when you're done assembling the ABTs, you can pull them off and if you rub an eye by accident it doesn't matter.

In other words, I got all of the ingrediants copied but for some reason I didnt copy the way to cook it. I r tupid sometimes. By the way, rum spritzer thing is a good idea.

LOL, that's great! A friend of mine did that after slicing up a bunch of habaneros. All we heard was screamin' and hollerin' coming out of the bathroom and then we heard the shower come on. Once we got the explaination as to what had happened, I can't ever remember laughing so hard. :D

Yes it was a LOT of fun...except I ain't so used to walking so much...at least not in a straight line... :oops: .
