I smoked a couple of fatties Christmas Eve and cooked them to an internal temp. of 160. When I cut them they still seemed a little raw. I threw back on and ran them to 170. What temp do ya'll pull them at? Has this happened to anyone else? Thanks.

Yes I went through the same thing I thought 165 would do it
What sucked I had a group waiting for them I hate that
I just do links now so easy and they are always Great
You just need some thing when those early birds decide to
visit the cook expecting some thing  :D

I've run mine to 160 of late and hadn't keeled over dead yet. I don't think I'm tempting fate either at 160 and they seem to be moist and not 'squishy' inside.

Never did em on the smoker whole, only in the oven . And at that I only cooked them sliced or as Armadillo Eggs. Sorry to be of NO help...

Here was a thread a few weeks ago about temps that listed Fattys at 145-150.....myself, I take them to 165-170 and am happy with them.

the perfect fattie should be in the range of 160-165 if you get up to 170 they tend to dry out
