I forgot to brag about my Christmas prime rib man was it good used Tyler's recipe turned out great last night we had roast beef manhattans Friday night going to use the rest for my twist of a french onion soup if it turn out good will post recipe :lol:

That looks beautiful. I did one Christmas day and it came out great. I need to learn how to slice it, that bone gave me a bit of a problem.

Are you serious on the binder? I hadn't thought of that one. Maybe for a coffee crusted heavily seasoned rib-eye? What's your application?

I tried that Tyler's Horseradish and salt crusted rib roast recipe. The meat came out great, but I wasn't impressed with the crust. way to much salt. I may try it again and cut the salt in half. The recipe called for sea salt, and that's what I used is hawaiian seas salt. Needless to say I never got any dehydration cramps. :roll:

I used kosher salt but most of mine was removed or fell off when I cut into the meat.

Looking real good, Dustaway 8) . Glad to see you cooking so often...should be a pretty good feed that you'll put on, after the Sugar Bowl :shock:. Some of us LSU boys are gonna be hungry :wink:

I guess you'll be hungry for food since your appetite won't be satiated by the results of the game 8) .

I'm a little concerned with you having to make that long drive. You seem to be experiencing a little confusion (maybe you're hungry and just feeling a bit light headed) as to the outcome of tomorrow's game...be sure to get a bite and take a nap before you hit the road :D

Nice meat, Dustaway! On slicing, remove the bones from the roast first. Just move your knife blade along the "top" of the bones (against the meat), using the bones as a guide. After that, slice up your roast like you normally would.
