I have never looked for gloves for food prep before, guess I could get them at the store or Sams. Also see some on ebay but want to know what I am getting.
Where do you get your gloves, what kind, and what's a good price?

Sam's has the ones that are rated for food handling. They come in a box of 500 each with two boxed packaged together. They are strictly quick-use and throw away.

Usually get mine at Ace Mart restaurant supply. Not sure Sam's has em. Seems like I looked for some at Sams one time w/o success...but I wouldnt want to bet my life on them not having any. Try this link:

Powder less latex is the way to go.

I wouldn't waste my time or money on those baggy, clear, cheapo, gloves that come in a box of 500 at Sam's. I tried them and alot of my dishes ended up with slivers of plastic in them because of the poor fit. Also if you have big hands, they don't fit/work good.
Get some of the "examination" type gloves. They have a great fit, allowing you to do detail work and they last longer. Some people are allergic to the latex ones which are a bit cheaper than some of the other materials that are hypo allergenic.

I agree with TexasBlake. That is what I've been using. You can find them online and some Drug stores sell them (not sure of the Drug store price).

I like using the stretchy vinyl gloves. They fit your hand like the latex gloves. I love 'em for Q'n. You can find them at Sam's in the "drug store" area. A 2-box package is about $6.

Same here. They come in different sizes too, which is good.

Me too. I use them for emergency medical runs as well.

My SAMS has two types of gloves in two areas...In the "catering" area, there are the cheaper, thinner gloves that are a pain. But in the "toiletry" section w/ the shampoo and stuff...they have the ones that look like they belong in a Dr. office and they are thicker and better...I found those by accident btw..

I usually order mine online from http://www.PRSfoodservice.com
I know it's easier to purchase at a Sam's, Costco, or Smart & Final, but I always purchase by the case and get a price break. I prefer the powderless laytex.
