grilled wings, then put in pot to simmer with a bottle Catalina dressing and 2 small bottles Texas Pete. Good wings you need to try them

I like that Texas Pete stuff. THey were giving away sample bottles at the Big Apple BBQ that Nuknfutz and I went to...I had never tried Texas Pete before that, but now Kathy and I use it all the time. We found it at one of the area supermarkets.

Sure looks good!

Gotta lose a few points for the charcoal starter on the side shelf though.... 8)

Is there a story behind the burned 1x4 on the shelf?

I was wondering if anybody else was going to catch those

It is bad but I always start fire with Kingsford charcoal and use a little lighter fluid. I usually let fire burn for 30-45 min. before any food goes on. The burnt board is one of them things that happen when you start the fire for grilling hamburgers and you and the neighbor are drinkin a few beer and the lid is up and fire burns down and then gets realllllllyyyyyy hot, needless to say I came around the corner my shelf is on fire. It give me and the neighbor something to laugh about.

I'm in a little town called Mccaysville. If you look on a map, it's where North Carolina, Tennessee, and Georgia meet. So I guess we are at opposite ends :( I doubt I'll make it to Texas but it would be cool to meet some locals :)
