Have a neighbor that wanted to purchase a couple racks of beef ribs. Having never smoked the beef ribs before (I'm a pork rib fan) I thought what the hey. If I rub them with tbbqrub, they got to be good! Used the 3 2 1 method and glazed them wth my home made bbq sauce the last 30 minutes of the cook. She said they were great, I didn't even get a taste.

I love beef ribs, but I usually find that I need to cook them about an hour longer than pork spares. You can't argue with success, though!

Man those look nice.....the ribs that is!! I love doing beef ribs, but it is very hard to find them at a reasonable price with meat on them. They can make much more money scraping them clean and selling it for ground beef
Nice job man

I love beef ribs!
Maybe more than pork ribs even.
Like Freedbaby said it is hard to find meaty ones so I just cook more of them. Although I don't cook them as long as pork ribs. I like to gnaw on them a bit.

Those ribs look great! I'm also a huge fan of beef ribs, especially when applied with Texas BBQ Rub.

Those look good Sweetdaddy
I've started getting into beef ribs more because of the price. I see them at great prices and they are just as good when done right

I agree with everyone else Sweetdaddy! :) The beef ribs look outstanding.
TL said he cooks an hour longer than the 3-2-1 pork ribs. How come?

Get in good with your Butchers fellas and when they cut a rib roast up for someone who asks for it, they will save the ribs for you and it WILL have meat on it. They dont have the machine at the stores to scrape the ribs clean in between the bone like the ones that you see that come from the packing houses.....as far as I know.

Beef short ribs are my favorite,i apply Maggi liquid seasoning and let sit an hour, then TXBBQrub B-blend and in a pan they go,after 2 hours add dark beer n cook till 190degrees +- til they shake n jiggle,i pick out ribs that are 2-3" wide with about 4" of meat thick mmmm, mmmgood.

'Cuz that's how I like 'em. They get a little more tender and a little less greasy, and I get a little more bark. I don't cook ribs 3-2-1, though, as I don't foil them.

The meat market that I go to sells them seperated for some reason. I am going to try and get him to leave them together.
