"No Holes barred"

Placed an order several weeks back. I have tried to contact them and get an update on my order as I have not recieved it. Their email is out of commission and there is no phone number. Looked online for directory assistance but no such listing.
Anybody got any line on these guys or have had any experience with them?
Thanks

I havent bought from them, but I did some web searching on this outfit. I'm probably wrong, but to me this looks like it might be a webfront business being run out of Mr. Ames home. There's no phone number because he doesnt want customers calling him at home. Any upfront business will have a number of some kind.

There used to be a phone listed but I've been trying to contact them since last fall with no luck. I received a partial order then but was charged for all and have gotten no satisfaction.
Last I checked their forum was up you might query on that site and see if there is anybody home.
The principal for the store I think his name is Joe Ames had a serious heart attack and has been out of commission. His sons tried to carry on but obviously they aren't doing well.

BTW what I did receive was good stuff.

That, right there, is the story I've heard.

I found this number on the site:
If you are concerned about internet security in general, you can always place your order over the phone. Call (570) 386-2131 at any time M-F, 8am-6pm EST.

I hope that if the guy's name is Ames and has had health problems that he makes a full recovery.
If it's a guy named Fatz selling "Pig Powder", the world's best bbq seasoning, then don't bother waiting any longer by your mailboxes....

Thanks for the help. Papa Tom how did you get that number. I have looked all over that site?
I did put up a question on the recipe forum and got a responce from one of the Ames brothers. Said he would check on it for me.

It's true that Joe Ames has had some health issues lately and the business has suffered. I contacted Bob Ames about their ability to fill an order and this was his response:
"Hi Kirk,
I have resumed shipping, and other than being a little slower than usual
while I catch up, I should be able to accomodate your order.
Thanks!

Unfortunately, I have not recieved my order that I placed on the 9th or 10th and have not recieved a response to a recent email asking when I might expect delivery. I'd have to say that if you don't absolutely need their products, don't bother with them until they get their stuff together. It looks like this is turning into a headache for a lot of people.

I'm sure by now most of you know that I have a similar product to the FAB that I have made for me. The main difference is that mine has no flavor at all. It will need to be mixed with a liquid with a flavor of your choice to be injected. It has all the moister retaining properties and active ingredients of the FAB just no flavor. I'm leaving now to cook in Beaumont. I will let anyone who is interested in some know how to get it after I get home on Sunday.

If you used your credit card, and they've charged it, consider disputing the charge.

I had emailed the guy at the ingredient store...
I did the same before ordering 3 weeks ago. He told me they were shipping but were moving kind of slow. I emailed him again to see what was up with my order and he responded yesterday, telling me that they were temporarily out of stock on the "Lite" that I'd ordered. He said that he expected it to be available as of today and that he'd be shipping it out. We'll see...

OK, I have finally made contact with the guy and this what he emailed me:

Hi George,

My brother forwarded your information on to me.

We just switched to having a firm mix the FABs for us, so I apologize for
the delay in your order.

I will get it out to you in today's shipment, so it should arrive to you
shortly.

Sincererly,
Bob

I tried to deal with Bill and while he never really lied to me (other than to say there would be delays without mentioning forever) he did take my money without shipping the goods. Let me add clarification here, he failed to send a number of items but I was only charged for one item that I did not get.

No Holes, that's pretty much what he told me. I hope they have their problems worked out because they're really starting to get a bad rap on the boards.

Anymore info on the ingredient store ? I placed an order last week for some Fab(the stuff they say is in stock) and have not heard anything since.I also tried the phone number, but yes it is always busy.I am not in a huge hurry for the Fab,I just want to try it out and see what it is all about. Is the ingredient store the ONLY people that sell the Fab products ?Are they the ones who make the Fab products ? I was just wondering if it can be obtained anywhere else ? On the Ingredient store website they have shipping options like 2 day,3 day, etc. they should get rid of that if they are only shipping 4-6 weeks, not days ! Anyway I will see how long it takes,it could be awhile I guess ......

Ok, I have to ask. What is Fab? :?

Ok, I have to ask. What is Fab? :?

Fab B an injectable marinade for beef. Not many use it for personal consumption, mainly for contests.
I'm still waiting for mine too.

I didn't see the Fab product listed there, unless I missed it.Do you if know if they sell it or not ? I am wondering why the ingredient store just doesn't hire someone to fill and ship orders 5 days a week. They seems like they ahve ALOT of orders coming in,and that means money and repeat bussiness, you would think it would be worth it.I guess they are the makers of the FAB product ? I did a Google search and could not find any other distributors of it.

I e-mailed them yesterday and today and have not gotten any response.Too bad,I heard that the product was good in certain applications.the QN4U BBQ team showed us some good ways to use it so I thought I would give it a try.Too bad no one else makes and or distributes the product.

I finally got my order yesterday. I hope for the sake of their business that the Ames boys find a way to win back the confidence of their customers and get themselves back up and running right. I really don't feel like going through that with anything I order.

Even before Joe got sick they were slow and not very responsive so I'm doubting they will improve. The fact that they screwed me and will not respond at all reflects the underlying integrity. I'm hoping that somebody that is a better business person fills this gap.

Did you dispute the charge or did it go beyond your timeframe to do that?
Did you try this number: (610) 750-1032 ?
I got it from this site:

Yes I disputed the charge immediately to Bob and he replied saying it's back ordered and we'll have it shortly. I waited a couple weeks and tried repeatedly through email and phone to contact but got nowhere. Eventually I gave up. Below is the email.

Well,I got my order finally.I am going to try using some of this in a competition and see what happens,I don't think it could hurt ???? If it works good I would like to get more, but it takes so long to get it ,about 8 weeks from time of order.Too bad someone else does not make the same thing.
