Its been a long time since I cooked for a big group. How much brisket per person? It seems like someone once told me 1/4lb cooked per person, but that sure doesnt seem like much.

Are you only doing brisket or will there be other meats?

One brisket usually serves about 10 people. If you are doing other meats and sides it will go a lot further. I'm sure there are some caterers here that can point you in the right direction.
1/4 lb. cooked is often quoted, but I don't think that is even enough for kids or wimmin. It isn't enough meat, I don't care what else is served. I went around town one day, buying a plate at several joints. Everyone had 1/2 lb. meat on it. Anything less is too little.

Yeah figure a pound of raw per person and if you have other meats or sides you can stretch that a bit. That is for whole packer trim briskets. Unless your brisket really sux 1/4 lb. just ain't enuff.
