How much chicken and ribs for 175 people. There will also be sides there. Just need to know the amount of meat

is this the only meats....
lunch or dinner...
what type of people football players or families with kids.

ballpark will be...
approx 1/3 a slab per person
and a chicken will feed about 4-6 if cut into pieces.

It for a factory workers. The eat time is 2:00 pm. So it will be adults. This will be the only meat. Somebody else will be doing the other sides. i will be only cooking the meat.

I'd say Oli is pretty close with factory workers you might lean toward the heavy side on the chickens to be safe.

I'm with Oli on th ribs, on the chicken maybe you can find leg quarters on sale. Just depends on what you are charging per person. Check the sale ads and figure which will give you more bang for your buck. If the leg quarters work, I would say 1/3 rack of ribs and one leg quarter per person. Good luck.

They are paying for the food i am just going to cook it. Just wondering how much food i need to cook.

Well I will go out on a limb here. I recently cooked for a Luau that was estimated @ 100-120 people. We cook about 30-35 yard birds cut into halves and about 10-12 pork butts and loins. The food was gone by the time the last person went through the line with just a little left over. I hope this helps.
