some of the cooked briskets i've seen on the forum looks as if there's a glaze on it. if so what kind of glaze is it ?

No glaze for me, maybe its the moist meat giving that appearance.

THe pictures I take may look like that if they are taken at night with the flash. I'm guessing the flash reflects off of the moist brisket.

Same thing here Blake. Gives that same look on all meat I cook when flash is used.
