I just ordered
2 -2lb. bags of "original"
2- 2lb. bags of "wild"
It was only $9.25 to ship. I noticed that it was the same for 2- 2lb. bags so figured why not. I also noticed if I added a pair of gloves which are supposed to "ship free" it went to $17+ for shipping. Looking forward. Thanks everyone.

You're in for a treat, SJ. You ought to try out that brisket blend sometime, though. It's all good! :)

You can use Worcestershire, but there are many other binders that can be used. Yellow mustard, Coke, Dr. Pepper, teriyaki just to name a few......I use mustard on pork loins and on ribs sometimes. There is no aftertaste or remanants from the mustard, just a good binder!

Yeah, I'm waiting to get my new smoker before I start practicing on briskets. Not to mention they're $4.39 lb. here.
Looking for a place to get the full packers but no luck yet. Hoping I can find packers in the $2-3 range.

You do not need a binder. It sticks to the meat just fine without one.

i've used a binder in the past but have found in most instances i don't need it. you can't go wrong with any of the rubs or some tpj for that matter.

Can't go wrong with any of TexasBBQRub products. Combine TPJ and you are a real hit at any Q.

I don't understand the shipping going up on adding BBQ gloves. I have never seen that happen unless you were reading the shipping methods wrong. You chose Flat Rate Shipping for the $9.25 and if you were to read priority mail it could have been $17 but not by adding gloves.

I stand corrected on the shipping I guess. Sounds like Blake found the error in the shipping and fixed it. So I guess you were right and I was wrong. Thanks Blake for finding the problem and getting it fixed.

We love the rub in this house. We also love the Texas Pepper Jelly. Now I just need a Gator Pit! I have the gloves also.
Ive been cooking with Bill's rub since last Q-fest, but without the gloves he sells. last time i went to Bills office, I pickup a set of gloves. Ive used them about 4 times now, they sure make cooking alot easier by a mile. they are worth every penny and i highly recomend them.

Got the package today. Got some stuff to do this weekend and I'm not sure but I think I'll only get a session in Sunday. Trying to figure out what I want to try them on.
I'm still curious if the Worcestershire is just a binding agent or something that has created a perfect combo. Doesn't seem like many people are using it??? I normally use mustard but I gotta try this also

I use Worcestershire on my briskets and like it, but I haven't tried anything else. I use mustard for hams. I think the Worcestershire goes a long way because it is thin. Try one each way and see which one you like better!

I haven't heard from MT in awhile, but I heard you are keeping an eye on him for me, keeping him outta trouble. But I did hear from some "guy" about 2 weeks ago.......Sounded very similar to you, must have been 101!

I use mustard on pork and Worcestershire on beef. Chicken usually gets Mojo.

I have used mustard on beef and pork as well as worchest. and I can't tell any difference. I have kept with worch because it is easier to work with and less messy. I have gotten great results with both. cooked about 2500 lbs this summer of pork and beef with no complaints yet. Bill has always recommended italian dressing on chicken which I haven't tried until this past weekend Sams had a gal of golden italian dressing at a steal. I dipped the chicken and then rubbed. WOW!!!! Did people love it.

I hadn't either (believe it or not) until last weekend when the neighbors invited us over for grilled chicken and football. They marinated the chicken in some Greco - Roman dressing they had custom made for them and now it is their favorite. I loved the chicken but it was a big surprise when I found out about the marinade.
