First off let me say I'm a new member here but I've been using the BBQ Rub and Brisket Blend for the last couple years and it's hands down the best rub out there. I cannot even tell you how many people tell me my BBQ is the best. I got on today to replenish my stash and decided to give Texas Wild a try.

My question is why no details/description on the website regarding the Texas Wild? I got some info but it was all through searching the forum. From the sounds of it, the stuff is awesome. You'd probably get a lot more sales if it was added to the website.

Also, my suggestion is to add a "sampler pack" to the online store. There is one with the BBQ rub and Brisket Blend but I'd like to see a BBQ Rub, Brisket Blend, & Texas Wild sampler. That'd be perfect. Thanks
-Andrew

I've been working on setting up something that would allow to purchase a double pack or triple pack with a rub of choice. It's just taking a while to fix all the kinks with stuff like how the order comes across to us, and how the inventory tracks it.

Hopefully it'll be ready in a few weeks.

Yep, I just placed another order and had to order one bag of each. It will be the first try with the Texas Wild, so I can't wait to get it. It'll be kind of like Christmas at my house.

I have really become a huge fan of the Wild. It just barely edges out the Brisket Blend by the very slightest amount. In all honesty I'm not a big fan of the original blend. Just a little too spicy for my tastes.

Now I have never found the original blend too be too spicy. I use it on pretty much everything. I am anxious to open all three bags and compare side by side.

Interesting. I've only used 1 bag of the original, maybe it was mixed a bit on the strong side. Everyone that tasted it felt the same way, that it was a bit overpowering. In fairness I should probably order another bag and try it again.

Order just placed for a 2 lb bag of the original rub.

I have seen that in a lot of the posts as well about the original being too spicy. Maybe the last bag I got was a little milder than most. I can't wait to compare the 3 side by side.

Are you all judging the spiciness of the original rub straight out of the bag or on cooked meat?

Just curious 'cause I don't find the original spicy... very very good, but not overly spicy...

James.

Way to go in giving it the ol' college try (again).
I've sometimes had a real spicy taste and a sweet taste out of the same bag. Give it a good shake next time.
Now the wild is a different story all together. Awesome from start to finish outta the bag.

On food, mostly ribs and chicken.

A suggestion on the original rub. If you find it too spicy then perhaps you are applying it a bit to heavy on ribs and chicken. YOu can also add just a bit of brown sugar to the rub and it will cut down on the spicy taste a bit. We are currently in the experimental stage of producing a rub with 1/2 of the spicy peppers. We have been using it and have let some others give it a try. We will have it in the future for everyone to get.

I don't think the Original Blend is too spicy at all. Yesterday I just sprinkled some over meatballs and reheated them. They were delicious !!! In fact the next time I make brasciole, I'm gonna try some in there...

Yeah I've cut it with brown sugar and my personal favorite Turbinado sugar. Thanks.

I don't think the original rub is anywhere near too spicy. Of course, I LOVE spicy foods. I actually think it would be awesome if you guys came out with an "extra spicy" rub for those of us that like to kick it up a notch. That would be the ticket.

I don't know how you could make any of those three rubs any better. They are my favorites!!!

I like spicy foods such as chili, ABT's, and hot wings but when it comes to BBQ I prefer a milder tasting rub that doesn't cover up the meat/smoke/sauce flavor with a lot of hot spices but still adds a distinct layer of taste. That's why I think the Texas Wild is as close to the perfect rub as can be made.

I would think a little extra cayenne pepper or something similar would bring it up a notch, just like a little brown sugar brings it down a couple of degrees.

OK...I finally got it together and ordered some WILD, along with more original.

...can't wait.
