what is the best way to start your firebox if you dont have a fire starter to your box

I reccomend a charcoal chimney, you can buy one at most large hardware stores. Check out the thread below.

I use a weed burner. Got it on sale at Harbor Freight, works like a champ.

I always just built a small fire the normal way. Never used a started or chimney. However, even tho I never tried one, the chimney idea seems best to me, considering everything...

I used a chimney for a long time. I bought the weedburner at harbor freight last week and could kick myself for not getting one sooner. I not only lights charcoal fast, it looks COOL!

Double dittos to Daddy and Bama. I could nearly get along without a pit easier than to get along without my flame thrower.

And JP, the weedburner serves as two tools in one. Use it to light your fires, and use it to dry or burn out your pit after washing.

Amen on the weed burner. Next best thing since the invention of the zippo lighter. Need fire? Turn valve and spark !

We are using the Weed Burner for crisping Cheese Bread
When catering The customers love that roaring flame show

They are great for lighting the fire and burning off any old stuff
inside the smoker helps warm the pit also
