BBQ Comp

Alright there is a upcoming BBQ competition here on Kadena AB in Okinawa it is a fundraiser for the single soldiers. My battalion is running it and I am waiting on the rules right now my cookers include a WSM and two 22.5 inch kettles. So far I plan on ribs and maybe pulled pork or brisket. Need some ideas for sides though. Baked beans or sumthin any ideas? I am about outta TXBBQ rub so I am going to have to make my own rubs got a good rib rub already need a good brisket rub though. I can't get TX BBQ rub here that quick. It took about 2 months last time dang ol snail mail and customs. I am starting to plan now because getting some things here can be difficult such as meat and certain spices and what not the only woods I can get here to smoke with are hickory and mesquite. Appreciate any ideas.

Sides:

Coleslaw
Salad
Potato Salad
Corn on the cob (husk on)
Bigwheel’s beans
Bills surprise potatoes.
BBQ beans
Jalapeno corn bread

I loved being stationed at Kadena. I could go for some yakisoba and another of my favorites was those little bananas
