Anybody know how long a pork tenderloin will take on a pit averaging 225 degrees. Thanks -Jay

Thanks DB. That is good stuff however, I am cooking for a dinner party Satraday and need an approximate time that an average weight, half tenderloin will run. I am doing some stuffed and some just rubbed and marinated. Anybody have an idea of how long, at 225, to reach an internal temp of 145?

I find it takes any where between 2 1/4 hours and 2 3/4 hours to get to 145 - 150 F internal at 250 F.
If your cooking at 225 I'd start checking at 2 1/2 and you'll probably be done around the 3 1/4 mark.
YMMV, on how often you're opening the lid to look at it or baste it, etc.

What is the weight of the tenderloin you will be cooking? Stuffed or unstuffed?
grill it ... dont smoke it.....
