I was reading back through different posts and saw that several people were looking for a place to get good fire wood. I know for myself that it is not easy to find. Well recently I found a place in Cleveland, Texas that carries all types of wood. (Apple, Cherry, Hickory, all of the Oaks, Pecan Mesquite, and Walnut.
All of his wood is aged a minimum of 5 years. The wood is always under cover and well maintained. I have bought wood from him before, and have always been happy. He is a strange old character to say the least and the conversation with him is well worth the drive.

I will say this, call before you head out there and just drive up into his drive, it will ring a bell and he will come out. Tell Jerry the Big Mexican sent ya!

Look for all the Crazy Yellow signs!

I see that place when I drive through Cleveland on the way to my deer lease. I have been told that his wood is over priced, but then again it's all high everywhere nowdays. Next time I will stop and check it out.

He is one of my sources mainly because he is close to me. I don't think it ages 5 years, but I know it is good stuff. As far as the price, he takes care of his customers that take care of him.
