I've got some beautiful pecan I was thinking about trading. Some of you up north mentioned apple. It would only be a small amount to try, but I've got one of those sacks from Academy (the ones they sell mesquite or hickory) I could fill up. Haven't even weighed it out yet. I'm sure one of you have shipped out wood before. Just guessing a cost(rounded out figure). Guessing ups, fedex, postal ??????? Anyone??

Dude, I hate to be the one to throw a wrench in the spokes here, but the last time I shipped out anything with any weight at all it was expensive! Wood is certainly not light and I'm afraid that by the time we were to talk about enough wood to make a difference during one cook, I could go buy a lot more locally, or just use oak and buy a couple extra packers or something...
Anyway, I hope I'm wrong, but I just dont see this working out.
Sorry to be the "*** that said it first".

USPS flat rate box, I think 5X8X11 is $8.95 holds about #8-9 , depending on how small you chunk it. Getting enough to burn in a stick burner is ridiculous, but a WSM you could get enough for 10 good smokes.
PM me, I have apple available.
