Can someone please give me a description of this rub as I can't find one on the website where it describes all the others.

See if this helps you out. I haven't tried the Texas wild but the original is hard to beat.

Wild was formulated for a rub used on wild game. Such as venison, elk, bison, wild pig and such. It is a little sweeter than the Original in my opinion. Wild is my favorite on most meat, the Original is hard to beat on ribs though. I keep a tupperware container of both ready to go.
I say expeirment and see which you like the best, or mix them if thats what ya like.
Need to try the Grilling Seasonig too, that stuff is awsome on grilled chicken and chops.

Would the Wild go well with pheasant, grouse, quail and other birds or is it more for the bigger game which you mentioned?

Seems like the "Wild" description came in one of the TxBBQRub newsletters - which I thought I saved. Must have gotten lost - If you haven't done so be sure to sign-up for that newsletter... great info.

UpTop,
I use all of the rubs they make. I would HIGHLY recommend any of them. The Brisket Blend is fantastic on brisket. The Original is great on beef and ribs. And the Wild is great on any bird or game. Of course any one of the three rubs woudl be great on anything in my opinion. All are great products. If you can afford it, you might want to buy a pack of each, to compare.

Good Q'n!

you can't go wrong with the rub - it is awesome

I was fortunate enough to be at the qfest when the wild was unveiled - we all tasted it straight up and I was hooked

For a while Wild was my favorite but I have since reverted back to the Brisket Blend as my favorite. It might be my imagination, or that it's a little less sweet, but it seems the BB holds up a little better on the long cooks.

Well, I will be using my new smoker for the first time tomorrow. I have a butt roast, 2 racks of ribs and 6 turkey legs. All I have is the original rub so I'll try it on everything. Can't wait. That will be a long 8 hours. I will take some pics to share......
