Has anyone used elm wood to smoke with?? I have quite a bit of it hanging around? Would appreciate the skinny on it??

I remember this from a couple of years ago, and I believe elm is not safe for smoking

I have a cord of live oak and white oak with some elm mixed in. I guess I will pick out the elm and use it for the late evening fire pit with some wild turkey and water.

I heard that a little Elm smoke tastes just right with wild turkey and water :thumbs:
