I have read many threads on beef brisket, pork butt, ribs and tried my first pork butt this weekend and the results were excellent. First I do not have charcoal smoker so I used my electric smoker. I do have a weber kettle and am considering giving that a try so I can add wood chips to get the smoke flavor. I used woostershire sauce and rubbed with Texas Barbeque rub. I cooked until the internal temperature was 165 then wrapped until 195 because I wanted sliced pork. I took the pork butt off and put in a cooler wrapped in a towel for and hour. I took the butt out sliced and it was moist and juicy. My son said it was some of the best he had eaten and is coming over tonight for leftovers. I wish I could get the smoke taste in the butt but with the electric smoker I do not see how. Thanks for all the threads with advice and tips on cooking.

Thanks for the help

You won't have any problems with the weber. I have one as well
I prefer chunks over chips. Just put a few on the lid to preheat before
adding to the fire.

Good luck
